Angela Wethington, SCN

Angela Wethington, SCN, formerly Sister Marie de Paul Wethington, 89, a native of Brown’s Valley, Ky., died at Nazareth Home on August 11, 2010. She had been a Sister of Charity of Nazareth for 62 years.

Sister Angela served in the apostolate of elementary and secondary education in Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee. In Louisville, Sister taught at Resurrection School. Sister also served in Pastoral Ministry and in Health Care as Administrator and Pastoral Minister. At Nazareth Home, Sister served in the apostolate of prayer.

Survivors include one sister, Rita Husted of Denver, Colo.; nieces and nephews, and her religious community.

Agnes Regina Siracusa, SCN

Agnes Regina Siracusa, SCN, 86, a native of Memphis, Tenn., died at Nazareth Home on August 7, 2010. She had been a Sister of Charity of Nazareth for 67 years.

Sister Agnes Regina served in the health care apostolate as student and nurse for 60 years in Kentucky, Ohio, Arkansas and aboard the SS Hope. In Louisville, Sister took her Nurses’ Training at Saints Mary and Elizabeth Hospital and later served there and at St. Joseph Infirmary and Nazareth Home/Maria Hall.

Survivors include one brother, Frank Joseph Siracusa of Colliersville, Tenn., and her religious community.

Grace Cecilia Mackin, SCN

Grace Cecilia Mackin, SCN, 88, a native of Cox’s Creek, Ky., died at Nazareth Home, Louisville, Ky., on August 5, 2010. She had been a Sister of Charity of Nazareth for 71 years.

Sister Grace served in the apostolate of elementary education as teacher and principal for 45 years in Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee. In Louisville, Sister taught at St. Augustine and St. Cecilia Schools. In retirement, Sister served in community service and in the apostolate of prayer.

Survivors include three brothers, Charles A. Mackin, Francis S. Mackin, and William P. Mackin, all of Cox’s Creek, Ky., and one sister, Patricia A. Mattingly of Louisville, Ky., and her religious community.
